I have this obsession with tiered skirts, tops, dresses since I was a kid.. and I was at ZARA sale yesterday and saw this dress. This gorgeous dress.. but somehow I managed to resist the splurge as obviously it will just sit in my closet unworn, probably forever..

I am confused, like literally confused with Chanel's Fall/Winter 08 RTW collection. I don't know if I am supposed to be impressed with whatever vision that Karl is translating but I am feeling like he did his sketches while sitting in front of a mirror, right in the middle of Paris. Like he is his own muse.. (go check the entire collection at Elle and you'll see what I mean)?!




Well, apparently Karl is not the only one. Marc seem to have interesting inspiration as well.



So hmm.. looks like the basic office attire is 'IN' next season.. and be prepared to wear the most unflattering colors, shapes and lengths! Like I said, I'm confused..

I finally got my own version of jumpsuit, a-la Stella McCartney's SS 08 collection. It was so difficult to find one so I decided to get it tailor made. Well since I work in an office, I don't think I can get away with wearing it on its own so I paired it with a jacket. Not sure if you like it but I absolutely love it!

There has not been any authorised biography to the life of Karl Lagerfeld, the biggest icon in fashion industry for decades. Lagerfeld Confidential is a documentary capturing the man behind those dark glasses. Rodolphe Marconi has managed to capture Kaiser Karl's both professional and intimate lives through his lenses.



Karl was born in Hamburg, Germany in 1938. He moved to Paris at the age of 14 and developed himself as a visionary young fashion designer to the most celebrated designer of all time.

This is where Karl reveals his true character and displays the other side of him that has never been captured elsewhere. The documentary even takes you to one of his apartments, where you can see an array of ipods and strings of jewelries/accessories, magazines and books laying around - perhaps one of his sanctuaries for inspiration.

He also talked about his mother, his childhood, his passion for photography, personal relationships and his views in life. You can also catch some clips on behind-the-scenes from his catwalk shows and photo shoots.

Please note that this is an artistic documentary so don't expect any exciting scenes.
Therefore, this documentary is not suitable for those who are not into fashion. Otherwise, if you love Chanel, Fendi or Chloe, if you think French is sexy and you think Paris is romantic, this doco is definitely for you!

A must-watch for fashionistas out there :)

I love Blair Waldorf - such a strong yet vulnerable soul, not to mention her immaculate wardrobe. It is fun watching Gossip Girl, it makes you wonder if people like that do exist. The rich, powerful and inaccessible Manhatanites.

Blair's demure and prim/proper wardrobe spells innocence yet ultra posh and trendy. This Marc Jacobs Metallic dress is sold out so I found a more pocket-friendly alternative at Holly Stalder.
