Forbidden Love

I am proud to announce that I managed to strike 5 items off my To-Do list. I have to admit that I have been slacking for the past couple of months that work was like play school to me :p

Somehow I managed to still surf the net (ok, eBay to be specific), I stumbled upon this seller: Rent Me A Handbag

Although the shoes/handbags are not from the current or latest season, since I could never afford the ones in the boutiques anyway (especially now that my financier has cut the supplies.. sob.. sob), I kind of went crazy for a bit. If it wasn't for the fact that I did not achieve my '08 target of xx amount of savings in my bank account, I would have scored at least one of these.. dammit!

Fendi Platform $248

Dolce & Gabbana Denim Strappy Wedge $175

Prada Fringe Heels $168

Prada Loafers $120. I don't really wear flats but these look really comfy.. kind of cute with capris, right?

Marc by Marc Jacobs Flats $67

*sigh*

p/s: I smell those giant Black poster with that 4 letter word in Red... they are coming out again real soon aren't they..

Fantasy, not quite!

I had a fantastic weekend. We had our annual dinner on Saturday, at the Palace of Golden Horses. The theme was "Fantasy" but as usual, I could not be bothered wearing costumes :p

I had fun though, seeing people dressed up as their favourite characters - we had Jack Sparrow, Tin Man, Gladiator, Wonder Woman, some came in animal suits, we had a cat, butterfly, sun flower, duck, etc..

Faizal Tahir entertained us with a few numbers. Yes, he was superb!

Anyway, I did not take that many pictures so here are 2 shots of my outfit. I got my make up and hair done at Peek a Boo, Bangsar. I was going to do my hair up in a loose messy bun but I couldn't be bothered washing my hair later that night so I let it down. For RM60, I thought the make up was OK although I didnt really like the gold shimmery eye shadow that made my eyes and forehead look all shiny!

The dress has this amazing black tutu tail at the back. I thought it was cute :) and a little edgy for a white prom dress

Purple Rain

One of the things I love about F/W08 is the color purple, especially deep purple. Since the season is ending soon, I think I should wear more of it, while it lasts.

The lightings in the apartment is not very suitable for photo taking and I have still yet to get the confidence to take outdoor shoots so I guess this is the best I could offer you.

The weather in KL has been nice lately (despite the rain and thundestorm in the evenings) so I guess I was brave enough to put these ensemble together and not look like a total weirdo in tights and boots in the tropics!

Forever and Ever

I am never good with intiating conversations especially with people I do not really know. Although I must admit that I can be painfully talkative that it could annoy and make you regret knowing me.

Whatever it is, I LOVE this t-shirt I got from Forever 21 - one of the best purchases I have ever made in the past few months. I guess it is a good substitute to the American Apparel Deep V-Neck tee that I have been wanting to have. It's got the perfect cut with the most flattering sheer fabric, which is extremely hard to find.

Rebel

I'm becoming more and more rebelious at work these days. A reminder (or warning?) from HR not to wear leggings to work did not really stop me from experimenting or rather expressing myself through my outfits. But yeah, I still need to pay my bills each month so most of the time I'll tone it down a bit.

Nowadays I am just really into metals - studs, chunky rings, bangles, bags, shoes.. whatever with metals. Yes, I have probably become bitter and angry with life that I have lost my sense of orientation.. (huh?) - entahlah aku pun tak faham (*@&^#&@*

I got to have this!

Despite losing several kilos in the past few months and that my pants size is now down to hehe.. read this: UK 6/8!! I am still unable to achieve that nice slender arms.. cardigans or knitted tops are never my thing.. not because I don't like them but somehow they make my arms look HUGE.

If you have bat wings, chicken arms or whatever you call it, this is something you got to have:

God sent! It is fabulously called FLABuLESS. Comes in 3 variants (lenghts) - The Veston, Pleine Sleeve and De Quart Sleeve. Think I'm going to get one of the De Quarts. Retails from USD29.75. Yes, pretty pricey but don't you think it's worth it? We can easily spend 100 ringgit on tops/clothes but this one will make sure you look fabulous in those tops so why not, right? Genius!

Let's get Carrie-d away!

Wow.. suddenly it feels kind of strange to be posting again. It has been a while since my last post. I wonder if I still have any visitors..

I was walking around KLCC at lunch time today and walked past Marks & Spencer. A sight that seem familiar on the window display, together with a name that totally screamed - Patricia Field! I think besides Kate Moss for Topshop, this is the only collaboration that is available in KL.. finally, yay!! I got so excited and felt like telling everyone and it instantly reminded me of this blog, so here I am again :)

Let's see what they have, shall we?

Red puffball dress from the "Jewelry auction scene - see below", Turquoise kimono sleeves dress from the "Charlotte's baby shower scene" & Off-shoulder top with pencil skirt from the "Samantha shopping in LA scene"

.. and of course this iconic vintage dress, this time in a more figure flattering version, in black

I was kind of put-off with the price tag though. These dresses retail from RM499 to RM899 and quality wise, they make me feel like I'm wearing one of those rental costumes, really!

The selection is actually bigger than what I have here so click here to view the entire collection. Enjoy!
