I Heart H&M

I wish H&M opens a store in KL. Only last year that I went for a holiday in Salzburg, Austria where we stayed at this hotel (Best Western Elefant - highly recommended!!!) , 30 meters away from an H&M store. Gila aku dibuatnya! Pagi pagi lepas breafkast terus pegi H&M. Malam before kedai tutup pun pegi lagi.. best gila!!!

That was easily the best vacation ever. If you get a chance to visit Austria, please please please go spend a couple of days in Salzburg. Salzburg is the birthplace of Mozart, and the place where the Sound of Music was filmed.

I am not really a beach bum. I am more of a city girl so if you are like me, this could be the coolest place for you. Beautiful city, blessed with crystal clear river and snow cap mountains as backdrop, impressive architecture, full of arts and history and lastly of course all the H&Ms, ZARA, Chanel pun ada! on cobblestone walks. PARADISE!

This is Salzburg.. Splendid!

Best Western Elefant where we stayed. Can you spot that H&M sign at the corner? Yes, that close!

Our hotel room, for the price of about 100 euro per night. Pretty descent, don't you think?

Paradise, cantiknya!

Mirabelle Gardens, when they sang either "My favourite things" or "Do Re Mi" in Sound of Music (i think.. lupa!)

Wajib amik gambar depan favourite store!

Part of our Salzburg tour, we also spent a day going up the mountains. Austrians are clever people, they let people like me (who are physically challenged) enjoy scenic Alpine mountains effortlessly.. heheh... ada jalan raya.. tak payah susah-susah hike.. buang masa and tenaga.. so naiklah kereta :)

Simply breathtaking.. indahnya ciptaan Tuhan

Behind me is the highest peak of the Austrian Alpine, Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse (sexily named too kann!)

Hmm.. I just realized that what I have written has got nothing to do with the title of my post.. I just got excited telling you about Salzburg.. will post another entry that include our experience visiting the Bavarian mountains in Germany pulak :) stay tuned!

Trying Hard to Resist

I haven't been a Fendi fan but these babies are gorgeous!! I need one... Nothing could beat my love for 2.55 though.. :p

In the most perfect shade of pink... awww...

Soo loving the vintage shape. That metal strap.. aah.. just turns me on!

This one comes with 10 markers for you to draw and customize your baguette. If only I'm an artist - I would probably ruin the entire bag if I get my hands on it! .. but check out the interior.. in cartoon-like logo fabric.. sangat cute!!

Yes, I am still bored... but it's 12pm! see ya in KLCC :)

Random

I am bored. I think I say this too often that no one would believe me now. Or people envy me for having a cool job, paid to do nothing? Well.. jgn jelersss :p

Since I have too much time in my hands, and everyone else is too busy to entertain me, maybe I'll talk to YOU instead. Subject? Whatever pops out in my head right now.

1. I had a nightmare last night. I dreamt that I got a haircut, short bob like Posh Spice pre-pixie. God knows how many years it took me to grow my hair to this length! Like my first phrase, I am always bored. All previous attempts to keep my hair long mesti gagal as by the time it reach shoulder length, mesti gatal nak potong. This time, I am going to make sure that I'll keep it to waist length.

2. I love cars. APH is out of country and I am the official custodian of his Ford Focus. I cannot believe that I have NEVER driven his car until today. That car is awesome!!! Super light steering wheel but somehow it feels stable. Pick up pun laju and best je.. Totally put my Mazda 3 to shame, mann!! ok la, give it a break.. 1.6 vs 2.0.. sah-sah la kalahkan.. My Mazda is a girl car anyway so it's meant to move like a girl - graceful.. heheh.. I still love my car nonetheless! At least it's Japan CBU and that Focus was made (or assembled?) in the Philippines.. speaking of quality control.. my Mazda interior is ROCK SOLID! :p no offense mate but I am definitely taking that Fordie out this weekend... woohoo!!

3. I cannot believe ZARA is already on sale and I missed it's opening yesterday. Definitely going today but I am going to make a promise to myself, RM300 MAX! Cukup ke? ok la.. if I find something totally worth buying, that value is negotiable to RM500. Who am I negotiating with? The responsible version of me :)

4. I cannot believe KL is still suffering from traffic jams. Pegilah holiday people!!

ARGHHH I'M STILL BORED. YOU GUYS, GO UPDATE YOUR BLOGS SO I CAN READ THEM. HOLIDAY SEASON IS NOT FUN FOR THOSE WHO STAY AROUND!

Bring It On!!

I had to endure 8 hours of boredom today. I literally struggled waiting for the clock to reach 4pm. I had been surfing all day and that triggered major itch to my shopaholic switch. I just had to go to a mall so that brought me to Pavilion. Hooray!

But then.. I was in a way throwing myself into the battlefield - a HUGE mall where everything was on sale. However, I am proud to announce that I managed to resist all the temptations. These are the things I managed to let go:

#1 - French Connection Long Sleeves Black Tunic/Dress

This was on 60% off! I love the cutting and it has this visible brass long zipper at the back. You know I'm a sucker for metals. *sigh*

#2 - Chloe Fragrance

This is definitely my next perfume. It was love at first sniff. I just love the smell of sweet roses. This reminds me so much of the Annick Goutal Petite Cherie EDP I'm currently using, with a fresher/stronger twist

#3 - Pull & Bear Zipper (yes, again) Heels. Nothing compared to those Jeffrey Campbell shoes in my previous post but I have seriously been looking for some biker-edgy-punk-ish heels and this fits the bill pretty well. This was (or is) the toughest one to let go. If I dream of it tonight.. then.. hehehe.. well at least I tried and did not give myself in so easily! Right??!!

So come on MALLS.. bring it on!! Go on, go sell everything at 90% off.. you can see me cruise or try the stuffs on BUT I WILL NOT FALL INTO YOUR TRAP!

I AM A RESPONSIBLE ADULT WHO WILL NOT SPEND UNNECESSARILY AND GO ON DEBT!!

heheh.. let's test the endurance shall we?

Clear Day

It is a beautiful day, I love holiday seasons! The BEST time to enjoy the city - although I'd much rather be elsewhere. It has been AGES since the last holiday, in fact I am struggling to clear my annual leave this year. I have LOTS of time to spare but despite all the increments, salary adjustment, petrol subsidy, etc.. I am still seriously broke, more than ever.. sucks!!

As usual, it is only 8am and I am already running out of emails to read. Yes, I do have stuff to do especially that the next gate review is scheduled in mid Jan and I have yet to work on the cost/schedule estimates, yada yada.. ok, enuff of that.

Since Christmas is approaching, I have ONE (they're all shoe related so still considered one :p) little wish to make:

1. I wish we have bigger selection of shoes here in KL. Balik balik Vinci, Nose, Nine West, Charles & Keith, ZARA - B.O.R.I.N.G!!

2. I wish Topshop will start exploring other materials than kulit khinzir. (Kasut dah lawa-lawa tapi kulit B*bi. Sakit hati je tengok!)

3. I wish those super sexy Aldo shoes are not as high as they are and oh, I wish the prices are more reasonable - at least mcm Nine West pun kira ok la..

4. I give credit to those trendy Sg Wang or online/Bangsar boutiques for supplying trendy shoes but can you please get the manufacturer to improve the quality? They look cheap la...

5. I wish we have Jeffrey Campbell or I wish at least those online stores ship to Malaysia.. Aren't these lovely... Don't you love the beautiful distressed leather, chunky wooden heels and solid brass hardware? Now these are what I call proper shoes! (since Louboutin, Chloe, Marni, etc.. are totally out of the equation)

Sleepy & Hungry

I took a day off yesterday to do some pampering. I started the day by watching Sex & the City movie for like the 4th time (I think). Then off to Times Sq to get a facial at Cres Wellness. Pretty good I would say, considering it was a 90 mins facial for a price of RM98.

I had lunch at Starbucks and managed to get one of those 10th anniversary tumbler for only RM10. It's part of my personal cost-cutting strategy so I don't need to buy bottled water anymore. I can now fill my trendy Starbucks tumbler with filtered water and drink it in style.. heheh (Gila mengada kan..)

Later that day I went to Peek-a-boo bangsar (yes, again) for wash & blow. That was easily my 10th-12th visit in the past 2-3 months! No wonder I'm broke.. :(

Forbidden Love

I am proud to announce that I managed to strike 5 items off my To-Do list. I have to admit that I have been slacking for the past couple of months that work was like play school to me :p

Somehow I managed to still surf the net (ok, eBay to be specific), I stumbled upon this seller: Rent Me A Handbag

Although the shoes/handbags are not from the current or latest season, since I could never afford the ones in the boutiques anyway (especially now that my financier has cut the supplies.. sob.. sob), I kind of went crazy for a bit. If it wasn't for the fact that I did not achieve my '08 target of xx amount of savings in my bank account, I would have scored at least one of these.. dammit!

Fendi Platform $248

Dolce & Gabbana Denim Strappy Wedge $175

Prada Fringe Heels $168

Prada Loafers $120. I don't really wear flats but these look really comfy.. kind of cute with capris, right?

Marc by Marc Jacobs Flats $67

*sigh*

p/s: I smell those giant Black poster with that 4 letter word in Red... they are coming out again real soon aren't they..

Fantasy, not quite!

I had a fantastic weekend. We had our annual dinner on Saturday, at the Palace of Golden Horses. The theme was "Fantasy" but as usual, I could not be bothered wearing costumes :p

I had fun though, seeing people dressed up as their favourite characters - we had Jack Sparrow, Tin Man, Gladiator, Wonder Woman, some came in animal suits, we had a cat, butterfly, sun flower, duck, etc..

Faizal Tahir entertained us with a few numbers. Yes, he was superb!

Anyway, I did not take that many pictures so here are 2 shots of my outfit. I got my make up and hair done at Peek a Boo, Bangsar. I was going to do my hair up in a loose messy bun but I couldn't be bothered washing my hair later that night so I let it down. For RM60, I thought the make up was OK although I didnt really like the gold shimmery eye shadow that made my eyes and forehead look all shiny!

The dress has this amazing black tutu tail at the back. I thought it was cute :) and a little edgy for a white prom dress

Purple Rain

One of the things I love about F/W08 is the color purple, especially deep purple. Since the season is ending soon, I think I should wear more of it, while it lasts.

The lightings in the apartment is not very suitable for photo taking and I have still yet to get the confidence to take outdoor shoots so I guess this is the best I could offer you.

The weather in KL has been nice lately (despite the rain and thundestorm in the evenings) so I guess I was brave enough to put these ensemble together and not look like a total weirdo in tights and boots in the tropics!

Forever and Ever

I am never good with intiating conversations especially with people I do not really know. Although I must admit that I can be painfully talkative that it could annoy and make you regret knowing me.

Whatever it is, I LOVE this t-shirt I got from Forever 21 - one of the best purchases I have ever made in the past few months. I guess it is a good substitute to the American Apparel Deep V-Neck tee that I have been wanting to have. It's got the perfect cut with the most flattering sheer fabric, which is extremely hard to find.
