And to answer your question, start by taking pictures in secluded places. Take your time to get used to the thought you are doing wrong or odd. Passers-by are just that: they pass by and are gone before you know it. Even if they stare for a while, they can't stay forever. I am certain you'll get over your shyness in no time, and take superb outdoor pictures. (Funny but it's kind of weirder to pose in front of friends than strangers *lol*)
I used to be a shopaholic and now with a baby, I need to clear my wardrobe and make some room for my little family. I love highstreet brands like ZARA, H&M, MNG and Topshop so if you fancy these labels as well, do check my listing from time to time as who knows what I might find from those corners of my closets!
