OK, this entry is conflicting with my interest but lately I am feeling very patriotic (especially thanks to that recent visit to Thailand!).

Can you believe that Anwar Ibrahim is at #9 of TIME Top 100 Most Influential People for 2008? No no.. this is not a joke like when people say Maya Karin or Siti Nurhaliza is in FHM's Top 100 Sexiest Women. Anwar Ibrahim is actually in THE TIME magazine's list (no, no such thing as the Asian version whatsoever)..

He is in the Top 10 alongside these following great leaders:
1. Dalai Lama
2. Vladimir Putin
3. Barrack Obama
4. Hillary Clinton
5. John McCain
6. Hu Jintao
7. George W. Bush
8. Jacob Zuma
9. Anwar Ibrahim
10. Kevin Rudd

This is what Paul Wolfowitz (former US Deputy Secretary of Defense) wrote of Anwar: "I felt his real "crime" had been to challenge Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, whose impressive record will be forever stained by his treatment of Anwar"
